Bud Chamberlain graduated from Royal Oak High School in 1938. He participated in football, basketball and baseball and won nine varsity letters in high school.

Mr. Chamberlain went on to the University of Michigan where he played baseball and was recognized as the finest fielding third baseman in the Big Ten. He also won the League's batting title and played on a Big Ten Championship team. The University of Michigan acknowledged his accomplishments with his induction into their Athletic Hall of Honor in 1982.

Bud Chamberlain served five years in the United States Navy. After World War II he returned to Royal Oak and launched his career in real estate and insurance. Chamberlain Realtors has been a trusted name in Royal Oak and South Oakland County ever since.

The high integrity and community service of Bud Chamberlain are also well known. He served his church as an elder and had a day named in his honor by the city of Royal Oak. The State of Michigan issued a Special Tribute to him in 1994 for his active involvement in state and national issues.
